About the Role
Our client is a well-established not-for-profit organisation delivering new social and affordable housing, while also managing property assets across multiple Victorian locations.
They are seeking a Senior Development Manager / Project Manager to take the lead on end-to-end project delivery from feasibility and funding approvals through to construction, stakeholder engagement, and handover. This includes both new builds and major upgrades of existing assets, as well as overseeing acquisitions and disposals.
You’ll play a key role in creating housing that makes a real difference in people’s lives, while managing significant projects with commercial, social, and compliance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of housing development projects — origination, feasibility, approvals, design, and delivery
- Manage consultant and contractor relationships and negotiate key agreements (e.g. development, construction, lease)
- Oversee financial modelling, risk management, and compliance requirements
- Liaise with government stakeholders and funding bodies
- Prepare detailed reporting for executive and board-level review
- Contribute to the strategic growth of the organisation’s asset portfolio
- Lead, mentor and manage a small, capable team
