Support Officer

The Support Officer – Children, Families and Young People offers an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of creative programs and events that inspire participation, imagination and connection across Melbourne’s communities.

This role plays a key part in creating meaningful experiences for children, families and young people through hands‑on program support, front‑of‑house engagement and event operations across the City of Melbourne’s ArtPlay and SIGNAL venues.

Working as part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you’ll help bring to life innovative and participatory programs with, by and for children and young people, contributing directly to the city’s reputation as a global hub for creativity and inclusion.

A little more about the role

• Support artists, contractors, Operations Coordinator and Creative Producers in the delivery of creative programs, events and workshops – including set up and pack down of visual art workshops and theatre environments.
• Support the team to maintain program spaces, ensuring safe, clean, welcoming and engaging environments for participants.
• Provide exceptional front‑of‑house service assisting with bookings, enquiries, ticketing, data collection and customer engagement.

You’ll enjoy a hands‑on role that involves moving between venues, setting up spaces and assisting with program delivery, so being comfortable with active, physical work is important.
