The opportunitySilverchain is actively seeking a Client Incident Coordinator to join the Quality Assurance and Consumer Partnerships team on a permanent full-time basis. The Client Incident Co-ordinator is responsible for developing a contemporary incident management service at the National Safety and Quality Group level to respond and coordinate all client incidents, including serious client incidents (Severity Assessment Code) SAC 1 and high-risk SAC 2 incidents, monitoring their progress, open disclosure, and recommendation monitoring.
This role will promote and coordinate rigorous incident review methods, safety II initiatives, along with developing programs of failure mode and effects analysis.
- Key responsibilities
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
- Overseeing the client incident management process, review, analyse and action reported client incidents, coordinate responses, set tasks and prioritise an outcome
- Coordinate clinical incident response activities, ensuring clear and timely communication channels between internal and external key stakeholders
- Manage communications and relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area and department goals whilst establishing and maintaining outcomes within the Client Incident Management processes
- Ensure accurate tracking and communication of clinical incidents are maintained in the Incident Management System and provide reporting and data analysis on client incident management
- Manage complex, difficult and sensitive clinical issues through clinical risk assessment, consideration, and interpretation against the relevant policies, practices and procedures
- About you
- Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline (ideally Bachelor of Nursing)
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (Essential)
- Demonstrated analytical capability to identify systemic issues to root cause and create action plans to mitigate and / or eliminate risks or leverage opportunities for improvement
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to analyse data, identify trends and review systems for process and systemic improvements
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to implement change and improvements
- Demonstrated understanding of open disclosure processes, root cause methodology and management of serious incidents and feedback
