As an Accountant at RSM, you'll join our dedicated team who help to administer and manage deceased estates and assist with succession planning for our clients.

You are an ideal candidate for this role if…. You have completed a bachelor's degree in Business / Commerce with an accounting major; You have one - two years experience working as an accountant; You have experience working directly with clients; Integrity and empathy are your core values, and you hold yourself and those you work with to a high standard of professionalism and mutual respect; You are able to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues; You are a self starter and a team player, and you can bring your unique skills and ideas to the table; You possess a can-do attitude and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Assisting the succession team with tasks relating to the administration of deceased estates; Assisting in the preparation of deceased estates tax returns; Assisting in obtaining the Grant of Probate; Assisting in the preparation of reports and record keeping for the deceased estates, including preparing a schedule of assets and liabilities and distribution statements; Liaise with various parties including the executors, beneficiaries, legal representatives and government bodies. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major; Completion or near completion of CA or equivalent. DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES : 1 - 2 years in a similar role; Strong attention to detail; Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; Intermediate to advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel.
