Strategy Consultant – Caterpillar Inc.

This role is part of the Distribution Centre of Excellence (DCOE) team and focuses on process governance, regional coordination, and best‑practice implementation across the Asia Pacific Distribution (APD) regions.
About the Role
The Strategy Consultant works closely with APD department heads, region and district leaders, and global business partners to develop and deploy strategies that improve processes and governance. The position demands a proactive individual capable of delivering insightful presentations, managing projects, and leading change management initiatives across regional and global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the APD Metrics Dashboard, collaborating with Global and APD teams to provide insights and coordinate the annual updating and monthly results inclusion.
- Act as APD Program Deployer for the Representative Development Program, working with Global and APD stakeholders and continuously validating the system.
- Coordinate the Annual prime product target setting governance process for APD, working with Global, Industry teams, and providing summaries and updates.
- Lead strategic consulting projects.
- Design and develop analytical tools, provide business insights to enable team efficiencies and strengthen governance processes (e.g., digital dashboards, PR, PINS, ARO, Active customers online).
- Provide leadership with actionable insights to enhance services growth, focusing on Tier 1 metrics and key enablers, synthesizing data to highlight critical improvement areas and recommendations.
- Create and deliver in‑depth presentations and briefing materials for executive reviews (Quarterly Business Reviews, Executive Office Reviews) to facilitate strategic discussions and effective decision‑making.
- Drive collaboration on key strategic discussions through APD Strategy Forums, ensuring alignment across APD.
Skills & Competencies
Project Management skills – experience with Six Sigma or CPS is strongly desired.Advanced analytical skills – proficiency in Excel, Tableau, Power BI.Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with regional and global teams.Strong influencing skills to manage stakeholders and drive change and system implementation.Relevant bachelor’s degree; master’s in strategy, business administration, or related field preferred.5 + years of operational, marketing, or sales experience with dealer or customer contact and interactions.Additional Information
Travelling up to 20 % of the time.Availability for night calls 40 % of the week.Relocation is not available.Required to work onsite five days a week.No sponsorship for employment visa status; Caterpillar offers many opportunities outside of Singapore through its website.International assignment / relocation is not available.Benefits
