Exciting opportunities at the APS 5 and APS 6 levels exist to join the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Enterprise Headquarters (NSS Enterprise HQ) Workforce Branch and contribute to supporting Australia's national security and strategic objectives.
These roles offer a variety of duties and the opportunity to make a real difference - you will contribute and support meeting the evolving shipbuilding workforce demand and supply needs of the NSS Enterprise through a coordinated national approach to workforce analysis, planning, enhancement, development and skilling. We are seeking motivated people with passion, creativity, good judgment and adaptability to achieve our missions.
In this role, you will contribute to a team responsible for developing and implementing strategic policy to bolster our partnerships with defence industry and State and Territory governments, focusing on labour market and industrial workforce issues covering Australia's naval shipbuilding and sustainment sector.
You will contribute to the design, implementation, evaluation and promotion of the new NSS Enterprise initiatives that will support the Australian Government's naval shipbuilding workforce and skill priorities, strengthen development outcomes, and build resilience.
The positions are within the NSSG Workforce Branch that advises on issues, facilitates outcomes and delivers an appropriately skilled workforce to ensure the NSS Enterprise can meet the Australian Government's objectives and the requirements of the Royal Australian Navy.
The NSS External Workforce Strategy and External Workforce Delivery Directorates focus on labour market and industrial workforce issues covering Australia's naval shipbuilding and sustainment shipyards. Workforce is one of the enablers that will deliver Continuous Naval Shipbuilding for Australia. In this context, the two Directorates work together to build a picture of not only how the NSSG can resource project delivery but also how Australia's labour market can respond to demand.
The NSSG Workforce Branch maintains focuses on workforce data develops policy advice and workforce strategies, administers programs, and routinely undertakes stakeholder advocacy across the Group, the whole of government, and with our industry partners.
