Investment Director - Real Estate

About the Role

Based in Sydney’s CBD, the Investment Director will play a key leadership role in sourcing, structuring, and executing real estate investment opportunities. This position combines strategic responsibility with hands-on deal execution, providing the chance to make a significant impact on the growth of the platform.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, investors, and external partners, you’ll oversee the full investment lifecycle — from origination and due diligence through to execution and ongoing portfolio management. You’ll also manage and develop a small team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the sourcing and assessment of new real estate debt and equity opportunities
• Managing transaction execution including structuring, negotiation, and closing
• Overseeing portfolio performance, risk management, and investor reporting
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with co-investors, lenders, and advisors
• Providing market insights and strategic recommendations to support investment decisions
• Mentoring and developing junior team members
• Ensuring compliance, governance, and ESG standards are upheld

What We’re Looking For

• 8–12+ years’ experience in real estate investment, private equity, or related financial markets
• Proven track record in sourcing, structuring, and executing transactions in Australia
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management experience
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, or business (CFA or MBA desirable)
• Commercial judgment, strategic mindset, and a collaborative leadership style
