Starbucks Australia is looking to appoint a highly commercial and proactive Strategic Sourcing Manager. Due to our exponential growth, this is a newly created position reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for delivering improved procurement outcomes, managing supplier relationships, optimising the procurement process and identifying cost-saving opportunities for Starbucks Australia. This role is cross-functional and will provide support and guidance to other teams within Starbucks Support Centre in their procurement relationships with key suppliers.

- In the first instance this is an 18 month fixed term contract with the intention of shaping a role for the future.

Job DescriptionThe strategic sourcing / procurement of key goods and services is the key focus of this role. This will maintain quality, cost-effectiveness and timely delivery whilst reducing the overall cost base of Starbucks' operations.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing category plans to improve procurement outcomes and processesNegotiate favourable contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value-quality outcome for Starbucks.Work with internal stakeholders to develop requirements and sourcing strategies aligned to Starbucks' business outcomes.Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and conformance regularly to ensure cost, delivery, quality and overall compliance by suppliers.Contract Management and spend and analysis reportingCollaborating across functional groups to provide procurement expertise and coordinationDay to day supplier managementStakeholder management; Leadership Team, Operations, Starbucks Asia Pacific, wider Support Centre divisionsQualificationsAbout YouExtensive Strategic Sourcing / Procurement experience with proven knowledge of contract development and managementRetail, Food & Beverage, Petrol or Convenience industry background preferableTertiary qualification, with major in finance, business, sales and marketing or related discipline is essential.Demonstrated negotiation skills with a record of delivering cost savings and quality improvementsExcellent analytical and reporting skills, able to make complex data understandable for stakeholdersStrong interpersonal skills; building relationships with co-workers, stakeholders and third partiesA strategic mind with sound analytical skillsNatural leadership skills, a curious personality and someone who thrives under pressure in a competitive retail environmentAdditional Information
