Senior Electrical Engineer (Mineral Processing)

About the Role :

The role will form part of the core professional group and will contribute strongly to the overall design capability of the team. The position is project-focused and involves engineering design for the mining, minerals processing, and utility sectors.

Skills and Experience :

The ideal candidate will have the capability to take on various roles within a project, from design and planning to finalization and delivery. Senior Electrical Engineers should have around 8 years of experience, with a proven track record in mineral processing or material handling projects. The following experience is preferred :

• Project design experience in mining or minerals processing applications.
• Design of Motor Control Centres.
• Instrumentation specification and selection.
• Development of design deliverables such as cable schedules, equipment lists, and instrument lists.
• Design of Single Line, Schematics, and Termination Diagrams.
• Tendering and evaluation of major equipment.
• Report writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience instructing and managing designers / draftspeople.
• Consulting experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to perform site work, commissioning, and travel to remote locations.
• Effective communication and client liaison skills.
