Function & Events ManagerRole assisting with the coordination of our events and functions over the summer season (November - April) and beyond.
As Melbourne's premier beachside venue, West Beach Bathers Pavilion hosts over 300 events each year including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate functions, product launches, and more.
Main Responsibilities include, but not limited to :
- Fielding event and function enquiries with a sales focus
- Client communications and event administration, including venue walkthroughs, generating floorplans, tailoring menus, and quoting packages (with collaboration with owners and events team)
- Liaise with external suppliers regarding venue conditions, bump-in allocations, etc.
- Coordinate with Managers / Supervisors with ordering of beverages, linen, etc.
- Coordinating setup and smooth running of each event, ensuring high quality of guest satisfaction with both venue and catering.
- General ad-hoc administrative duties and helping in restaurant when required.
Applicants must :
- Have excellent written and spoken English
- Be professional and presentable, with an engaging and positive attitude
- Have at least 1years experience in event management or coordination, along with general confidence in hospitality industry
- Full working rights in Australia
General working week would be pro-rata, Wednesday - Sunday.
Hourly rate to be discussed, negotiable with level of experience.
