- About the role
The remote Language Literacy Numeracy (LLN) Training Officer is responsible for the delivery of Language, Literacy and Numeracy programs to students with low LLN, deliver foundation skills units, conduct LLN assessments and other training programs as required in remote communities. This role requires regular travel to remote communities to deliver Fee for Service programs for 2-6 week periods, ensuring that the quality management measures are maintained across all training operations and associated activities.
- This position will be based in Darwin with regular travel to various remote Aboriginal communities in the NT.
- In this key position your day will include : _
- Provide onsite workshop training of nationally accredited courses and units in accordance with NVR and AQF standards and principles
- Provide assistance to workplace coaches in providing quality industry training
- Provide offsite training and support via video conferencing and telephone
- Conduct LLN assessments for each student prior to commencement of qualification
- Management of the VET Track Student Management system
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- 3 years' experience in delivering a broad range of training programs with LLN experience highly desirable
- Certificate IV Training and Assessing - TAE40116
- Experience using an electronic student management system
- Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient oral and written communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities and ethnic origin
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to commit to the regular travel requirements
