Bethanie Beachside is a 160-bed modern aged care home fitted with the latest in modern conveniences and has been designed specifically to create a homely feel for our clients & staff alike.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicants must be willing to work across the following departments listed below :
Kitchen HandEnsuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standardsEnsuring required ingredients are available dailyAssisting is preparation, apportioning and serving of mealsMaintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe conditionCollecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutleryFood Services AssistantEnsuring delivery, set up, service, washing and clean down are completedEnsuring care recipients meal and hydration needs are metAssisting in preparation and portioning of care recipients mealsEnsuring facility areas are clean and safeDomestic AssistantEnsuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floors and communal areas are kept clean and tidyEnsuring supplies are stocked within the facilityLiaise with other Bethanie employees to ensure the needs of clients are metEnsuring client's personal clothing is individually labelled, and put away in their rooms, identifying items that require mendingAbout YouWillingness to uphold the vision, mission and values of The Bethanie GroupPossess a passion for, and previous experience working as Kitchen Hand or Food Services Assistant ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environmentHave a "can do" attitude and a genuine compassion for our residentsReliable with a strong work ethicAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamA current police clearance or willingness to get oneWorking with BethanieAt Bethanie we are committed to being an employer of choice by creating a supportive and compassionate environment for our people, customers and residents.
