Job descriptionLeading Hand position in the Brisbane Equipment Assembly workshop available. As a Trade Qualified Diesel Fitter with proven and demonstrated experience, this role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership and supervisory skills while working within a diverse team. The primary focus of this role is to drive and deliver safety, productivity, and quality, through team leadership and support of our tradespersons. Ultimately to ensure our customers receive the best quality product and service. Responsibilities Provide active leadership to employees to improve performance Train and develop others including coaching and mentoring Plan work to the highest efficiency Monitor jobs for quality and efficiency, providing guidance and ensuring work orders are correct Ensure tradespersons have work completed by the agreed date Provide guidance and expertise when required Proactively identify job quality and efficiency risks Report defects and unsatisfactory practices to help promote continuous improvement Ensure adverse environment impacts are identified and sustainability measures implemented as per Company policies and procedures Ensure apprentices obtain every opportunity to achieve competencies in an acceptable timeframe via on-the-job training Required Skills and Competencies Relevant Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitting or equivalent Previous experience on CAT machinery & CAT diagnostic systems is desirable. Committed to a 'No Harm' environment A continuous improvement commitment and positive attitude towards change Physically fit to pass a Pre-Employment Medical + D&A Screening A proficient & motivated work ethic Well-developed customer and communication skills Proven ability to supervise and lead a dynamic team of people.
