• About the Role

As the State Care & Safety Manager your role is to drive the Safety operational plans to implement continuous improvement plans across all stores. You will oversee the implementation of Endeavour Group plans into all sites as well as the coaching of key functional and line managers in the implementation and continuous improvement of Safety, Health and Environment performance.

In this key role, you will also :

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Safety & Health continuous improvement Safety Business plan.
• Act as an internal consultant advising, promoting and coaching the executive and other Endeavour Group team members with respect to all aspects of Safety & Health Policy implementation, standards and management systems.
• Provide advice on all matters relating to Safety & Health Systems
• Motivate managers and employees to achieve ambitious Safety & Health performance
• Ensure that the Safety & Health strategic expectations are understood by all area management teams and that there is a detailed site-specific management plan to meet objectives.

This role is based in Queensland and covers from Coffs Harbours to Cairns. Travel is required in this role, however a company car is part of the remuneration package.

• About You

If you are an enthusiastic and passionate safety conscious person then this is the role for you.

You will either have a safety or a retail operations background and be confident to work hands on with our Area and Store managers to help deliver our "Stay Safe" message.

You will be able to demonstrate :

• Previous experience in a safety role, ideally within retail OR a background in retail operations / store management will be highly regarded
• Leadership and coaching experience
• Ability to use judgement to problem solve, escalate and make appropriate decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Qualification in WHS
