Temporary ongoing position for a minimum of 6 months with possibility for permanencyPrevious experience processing payroll within Australia is non-negotiableWorking hours : 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pmImmediate start requiredReporting to the Payroll Manager and working as part of a small payroll team, you will be repsonsible for processing payroll of up to 500 employees on a fortnightly basis.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with the timely processing of all employees pays.Checking and auditing of all payrolls, ensuring legislative and award compliance (e.g., ATO, FWA)Administer the calculation and accurate payment of any wages (e.g., Terminations, Redundancies, Bonuses)Full function payroll processing including reporting, reconciliation, and tax / compliance.Generating reports related to employee information.Data entry and maintenance of employee records.Manage all statutory obligations - PAYG, payroll tax and superannuation.Producing and processing manual pays and termination payments, workers compensation etc.In partnership with Finance, assist with the preparation and reconciliation of fortnightly / monthly general ledger wage journals.Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and proceduresActively involved in improving current processes, and increase efficiency of the payroll systemDeveloping ad hoc financial and operational reports as neededRequirements and skills
Experience working across multiple business entities.Maintaining employee payroll and personnel details for approx. 500 employeesDemonstrated working knowledge of all legislative, taxation, superannuation and worker's compensation requirements.Exceptional data entry and administrative skills, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.Advanced degree of computer literacy (including proficiency with Microsoft Excel).Exceptional customer service skillsGreat teamwork & interpersonal skills.Flexibility and ability to multitask.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and be self-motivated.Who are weAt PERSOLKELLY, our passion is - and always has been - putting you first.
