Ibis Sydney Barangaroo is seeking an
- Operations Manager
- to join our dedicated team based onsite at the hotel.
Management of the day-to-day operations including Front Office, Reservations, Night Audit, Housekeeping, Engineering and Food & Beverage, ensuring that standards are maintained, profitability is maximised and guest needs are met, if not exceeded.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills, proven experience within a quality establishment and above all else, pride yourself on your ability to exceed both the guest expectations and hotel standards.
- Key Responsibilities
- Effective management of the Hotel operation to achieve a reputation as a market leader in individualised customer focused service in the hotel locality.
- Monitor all VIPs, special guests and their requests to and their needs are met, and loyalty is maintained.
- Ensure there is management support and presence are visible on the Front Desk and in the Bar area at any key time.
- Strive to implement the Accor Vision and demonstrate active use of Accor Heartist Values in order to lead by example.
- Ensure that strategies and practices are in place to facilitate the efficient and effective staffing of department to achieve financial and service quality targets.
- Be proactive in controlling costs being fully aware of forecasted business and targeted profitability whilst maintaining standards.
- Establish on-going on Job training programs for the departments to meet Brand and Service Standards.
- Active involvement with teams and ongoing coaching and mentoring of direct reports to create cohesion and enthusiasm toward a common goal.
- Demonstrate leadership by supporting environment sustainability.
- Participate in workplace consultation on matters pertaining to Workplace Health and Safety, as per the hotels agreed arrangements.
- Ensure compliance within all department of the Accor Internal Control Audit requirements.

- Strong organisational, customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage prioritising demands
- Experience in a similar role or strong hotel front office background
- Have full working right in Australia
