ABOUT THE ROLE We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly organised individual to join our Football Department as a Football Operations Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you'll provide essential operational support across both our Women's and Men's Football Programs. With a strong focus on delivering the VFLW program, the role also contributes to the broader AFLW operations. In addition, the coordinator supports the Men's program by managing core administrative functions such as scheduling, coordination, and facility logistics—ensuring all programs run efficiently behind the scenes.
This is a Full-Time, permanent position, commencing in July of 2025.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Reporting directly to the Women's Football Operations Manager, the key areas of responsibilities will include :
Women's Football Operations (VFLW and AFLW) : Lead the operational planning and delivery of the Casey VFLW Program, supported by the Women's Football Operations Manager Oversee VFLW match-day logistics including team entry, uniforms, equipment, travel, and venue coordination. Support the day-to-day coordination of VFLW players, staff, and volunteers. Maintain accurate documentation for VFLW player registrations, contracts and medical records Assist with AFLW season planning, training logistics, scheduling, and compliance. Coordinate player appearances and club / community engagement events for the women's program Assist the Dietitian with food delivery including receiving good and products, setting up and packing down meal provisions, and accepting deliveries as required Liaise with VFLW and AFLW stakeholders to ensure alignment with league and club requirements. Men's Football Operations (AFL and VFL) : Provide match-day and operational support to the Casey Demons VFL Program as required. Manage calendars and travel bookings for senior football staff. Facilitate internal communication and coordination across football departments. Support training logistics, venue coordination, and equipment management Coordinate player appearance and club / community engagement events for the men's program General Coordinate key administrative functions, including : Staff and player inductions; Security access and parking management at AAMI Park and Casey Fields; Facility bookings and liaison with the precinct and tenants; Facility maintenance requests and tracking at AAMI Park; THE IDEAL CANDIDATE You will bring previous experience in a football or sports operations environment, with a strong understanding of the football competition structure and the broader AFL landscape. You have demonstrated capability in managing logistics, coordinating events, and overseeing complex calendars.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills are crucial to effectively handle competing priorities across different programs. A sharp eye for detail, particularly in planning and communication, is key, as is a proactive, problem-solving mindset and a can-do attitude. Outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills will also be critical to success in this role.
