We are seeking an experienced I&D Professional to advance the I&D Agenda and lead the implementation of our inaugural I&D Strategy for ANZ.
While our local businesses operate on separate P&L's, there is strong local connection and movement of talent throughout our six local business units which include Mars Wrigley, Mars Pet Nutrition, Mars Food, Mars New Zealand, Royal Canin and Mars Global Services. Both globally and locally our business units have a strong focus on Inclusion & Diversity with a solid strategy focused on Inclusion, Gender Diversity and Workplace Representation at its core.
The purpose of this role is to continue to advance our ANZ I&D agenda in the areas of Inclusion, Gender Balance and Workforce representation through the leadership and delivery of our I&D Strategy. This role is a cross-segment, cross country role which will require the incumbent to align and work with key stakeholders in each of the Mars business units across ANZ, namely the People & Organisation Leadership Team (POLT) comprising of each of the local business units People & Organisation Directors, General Managers of each of the business units & the I&D Committee. This role will also sit on and be a key member of the ANZ POLT.
This position can be based at any of our Australian sites (Melbourne, Ballarat, Wodonga, Sydney, Bathurst, Wyong, Asquith or Brisbane).
- What will be your key responsibilities?
- Align the I&D Strategy, initiatives and budget with the POLT, ensuring that the I&D Strategy is in service of accelerating the business units people strategies.
- Identify metrics to track progress of specific initiatives and provide analysis and intervention recommendations including competitive benchmarking and best practices.
- Lead the One Mars ANZ I&D Committee, prioritising resources and focus areas as aligned to the I&D Strategy.
- Support the Associate (Mars employees are known as Associates) Resource Groups (ARGs), to create an integrated program of work, create focus and alignment of priorities.
- Lead the Reconciliation working group focussed on building stronger inclusion and representation of Aboriginal and Torres Islander Peoples within our organisation through cultural awareness and our Australian Reconciliation Action Planning process.
- Support Talent Acquisition's strategic efforts in embedding I&D throughout the recruitment process including sourcing and attracting talent from underrepresented groups.
- Work with Corporate Affairs on internal & external communications strategies to elevate the awareness of the I&D strategy and our employer brand in the external market.
- Manage the I&D budget and manage relationships with external partners.
- Partners with P&O Heads to help identify segment talent / diversity gaps and advises on strategies to address gaps.
- What are we looking for?
- Experience in a Specialist or COE role in Inclusion & Diversity
- Specialists in Talent and OD or HR Business Partners within a multinational company
- A well-developed understanding of the key elements of the role of HR through lived experiences.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills are essential as well as the demonstrated ability to leverage expertise to design and deploy impactful people solutions.
- Experience in program management and leading multi-functional project teams is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability is critical.
