• Key Responsibilities
• Provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including their homes, community centers, and other relevant environments.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
• Implement person-centered support plans tailored to the individual needs and goals of each client.
• Support clients in developing essential life skills and fostering independence in daily activities.
• Effectively manage challenging behaviors with a proactive and positive approach, utilizing appropriate strategies and techniques.
• Collaborate with other members of the support team, including families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure the holistic well-being of clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines governing disability support services.
• Requirements
• Minimum of CERT III in Disability or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience working with individuals with Autism and Behavior of Concern is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients and their families.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, based on the needs of the clients.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations and adapt to changing circumstances.
• A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle preferred.

Pay : $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours : 8 - 24 per week

Schedule :

• Afternoon shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
• On call
• Weekend availability

Licence / Certification :

• First Aid & CPR Certificates (preferred)
• Working with Children Check (preferred)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
• CFA Certificate (preferred)
• Driver Licence (preferred)
• Infection and Prevention Control Training Certificate (preferred)
