Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Community Psychosocial Workers to join the Mental Health Division HOPE team located at Pascoe Vale South.

About Mental Health Divison :
Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern.
Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles.
We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.
About the Role :
We have an opening available and we are looking for an enthusiastic Community Psychosocial Worker, working part time ongoing 32hrs a fortnight to join the HOPE Program within Northern Health Mental Health Division located at Pascoe Vale South.
The Hospital Outreach Post Suicide Program (HOPE) is a multidisciplinary team of Clinicians, Community Psycho-social Workers and Carer / Consumer Peer Support Workers and Consultant Psychiatrist.
In this role, you will work alongside clinical staff to provide direct psychosocial support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, while also supporting their families and carers.
You will play a key role in promoting positive mental health outcomes, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among service providers.
HOPE program collaboratively delivers up to 12 weeks practical support and evidence based therapeutic interventions to address the unique social, economic, historical and environmental factors that have contributed to, or continue to contribute to, a consumer’s suicidality.
To be successful in this role you will have :
The Community Psychosocial Worker works collaboratively with consumers, carers and families in providing direct assistance to assist the consumer, with the support and clinical oversight of clinical staff to achieve their goals.
The Community Psychosocial worker is an integral part of the HOPE team, whilst building positive collaboration with community agencies.
