- So, what is a day in the life of a Community Support Worker like?
No two days are the same - every day will be different in this fast-paced and dynamic role. For example, as a support worker, some of your daily tasks might include the following :
- Community Support
- Escorting our clients on community outings, e.g., shopping trips, excursions, lunches, appointments, and goal-based activities.
- Transport
- Escorting our clients to medical and allied health appointments, hospital visits, and respite care.
- Domestic Support
- Cleaning, tidying, and changing bedding to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitized environment for our clients.
- Food Preparation
- Preparing, cooking, and serving meals.
- About You
- We are looking for energetic Community Support Workers who value teamwork and are passionate about helping people with various disabilities. We have a vast range of clients, so our ideal Support Worker will be motivated to try new things and explore the clients' hobbies!
- We are looking for Support Workers of all ages to match the differing needs of our clients.
- Experience working with clients on the Autism Spectrum will be a bonus!
- Eligibility Criteria
- Police Clearance or NDIS Screening
- Manual Handling (Optional)
- Drivers License and own insured vehicle
- Have a current or be willing to obtain a First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID004) and CPR (HLTAID001) certificate
- Have a present or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
- Job Types
