About the roleThis role is offered on either a full-time or part-time (0.8) basis and will see you providing support to the Heads of department, as well as the principals, on a broad range of employment and strategic people and culture initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and with significant opportunity to influence decisions at board level, you will be responsible for the entire People, Training and Culture function including the supervision and development of the PT&C team.
While this is a generalist role, encompassing all the core people and culture disciplines, the key areas of focus will include :
- Provide advice and support in all areas of people and culture
- Work with the senior leadership team to increase their effectiveness through people leadership, performance management, coaching and support
- Initiate and deliver programs aimed at driving employee engagement
- Ensure all people practices across the business are effectively set up to achieve enduring
- success
- Lead your team in the effective management of employee and industrial relations matters
- Build and embed a high-performance, achievement-orientated culture
- Grow the development and advancement of the organisation as an employer of choice
- About you
We are seeking a highly experienced people leader who has proven capability to deliver demonstrable results through their initiatives, and business objectives that are clearly linked to commercial outcomes. You are a thought leader who inspires and encourages others by providing people and culture advice / strategy and well-considered support to key leaders.
To excel in this position, you will need :
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
- 7+ years' experience in Human Resources, including in senior HR roles - with Professional Services experience a must
- Demonstrated experience across the core People and Culture disciplines including, IR, Talent, OD, Performance & Reward, and Health & Safety.
- A thorough knowledge of the Australia employment landscape and HR best practice
- HRIS Experience, with implementation experience highly regarded
- Ability to present and influence at a senior level
- Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the firm's overall objectives.
- Experience managing and developing a geographically dispersed team
- A confident, flexible and proactive approach
