The Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for the general insurance industry? Do you thrive in a collaborative, growth-focused environment?

My client is an award-winning global general insurer, and they are currently seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Underwriter to join their highly experienced team within a stable and expanding organisation.

This role is based in B risbane CBD and offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic part of the business, focusing on standard risks across property, casualty, and financial lines.

In this role, you'll develop your underwriting skills, working closely with experienced team members. You'll be involved in :

• Pre-underwriting and marketing activities.
• Managing products and services for standard risks.
• Basic administration of third parties.
• Submission entry and system bookings.
• Broker query handling and report preparation.
• General administrative support, including bordereau processing and broker portal management.
• Assisting with audits and maintaining online quoting systems.
• Ensuring exceptional service to brokers and clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment and contribute to a team known for its collaboration and innovative technology. There will also be opportunities to eventually work from home up to 2 days a week.
