Temporary Opportunity on APS Jobsthis opportunity is also available toongoing APS employeesas a :Please discuss the possibility of release with your manager before applying._The RoleThe Internal Audit and Risk Section provides the secretariat function for two high level governance committees, the Audit and Assurance Committee (AAC) and Risk, Security and Governance Committee (RSGC). The committees provide independent advice to the Secretary and Executive Board on the appropriateness of the department's accountability and control framework regarding financial and performance reporting; systems of risk oversight and management; and system of internal control.
Reporting to the Director, Internal Audit and Risk, the Assistant Director will lead the Secretariat function for the committees. This role manages high-level relationships and communications with independent committee members and departmental officers, organises meetings and supports the committees, and drafts and coordinates briefing. This position will provide committees with high level secretariat and administrative support including :
Implementing and delivering governance arrangements, including maintaining terms of reference and forward work plansDelivering meetings, drafting agendas and minutes, drafting and coordinating briefing papers and managing actions arisingUndertaking and leading high-level administrative tasks and logistics that support business operation, including inbox management, records management and meeting management.Skills and CapabilitiesWe are seeking individuals with the following skills and capabilities :
