We are committed to delivering health services aligned with our core values of collaboration, openness, respect, and empowerment.What you'll be doingThe NSW Health Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV), auspiced by WSLHD, is responsible for multi-sectorial learning, capacity building, workforce development, and community development in prevention and response to violence, abuse, and neglect (PARVAN).ECAV aims to ensure access to culturally safe, trauma-informed services with practitioners who are diverse, knowledgeable, and skilled in prevention and healing from violence, abuse, and neglect.Senior Statewide Educators develop, deliver, evaluate, and improve training programs for NSW Health and other agencies.
They may also be involved in project management, resource development, event coordination, and policy development related to workforce development.This position supports the Domestic Violence & Cultural Equity (DV & CE) team, focusing on workforce development and the implementation of the NSW Health Domestic Violence Routine Screening (DVRS) Program.People with disabilities who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply; reasonable adjustments will be made.

Remote working options may be considered, and applicants from regional and rural NSW are encouraged to apply.Essential CriteriaRelevant tertiary qualifications in Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain it.Selection CriteriaQualifications as above and willingness to work towards a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.Experience working in NSW Health or related services responding to violence, with ability to collaborate across sectors.Understanding of the socio-political context and dynamics of violence, including impacts on diverse communities.Knowledge of adult education theory, workforce development, and high-quality training delivery on VAN.Understanding of cultural safety and humility, with ability to promote culturally safe practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, self-regulation, and stakeholder relationship-building ability.Ability to work independently and in teams, with good organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other platforms.Willingness to travel within NSW and hold a valid driver's license.Need more information?Click here for the Position Description or learn more about applying.
