SA Health, AustraliaAre you a Registered Nurse / Midwife wanting to join a supportive regional Maternity and Paediatric unit?
You will assist with the provision of professional high quality nursing and midwifery care within the Maternity / Paediatric Unit at Mount Gambier & Districts Health Service, caring for women and babies from 34 weeks gestation, prenatal and postnatal care and paediatric patients. Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups. Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the Maternity / Paediatric Unit.

- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse / Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. We are seeking applicants who are registered as both Nurse and Midwife, however, consideration will be given for a Registered Midwife with appropriate experience.
- With demonstrated competence in nursing / midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards, you will demonstrate a commitment to providing patient and family-centred care.
- Your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will equip you to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads.
