THE CANDIDATEJOB SUMMARYAs the Retail Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient management of retail spaces. This role combines retail and hospitality management with creative and operational responsibilities, including team leadership, merchandising, compliance, and marketing, to deliver exceptional customer experiences and support business growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDEDeveloping product mix, stock levels, and service standards to optimise retail performance.Creating and implementing purchasing and marketing strategies, including pricing structures.Delivering exceptional customer service by advising customers on product use and assisting in sales.Managing inventory records and financial transactions with precision and accuracy.Preparing and managing budgets to ensure financial health and operational efficiency.Recruiting, training, and supervising staff to build a cohesive, high-performing team.Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations across all operations.Monitoring staff performance and providing constructive feedback to ensure excellence.Managing office records and accounts, including payroll and financial reporting.Leading personnel activities such as hiring, promotions, and performance management.Staying current on trends in the craft spirits industry and aligning offerings accordingly.Planning and managing venue operations, including hosting functions and events to promote retail sales and growth.KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCEA minimum of 4 years of retail experience, with a focus on merchandising and sales.Demonstrated success in hospitality management, including venue and function oversight.Solid understanding of distillation processes and familiarity with spirits and trends.Proven ability to manage digital systems.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and digital marketing.Exceptional sales experience, ideally in the food, drinks, or hospitality industry.Strong understanding of customer service principles and techniques.Certifications like RSA and Approved Manager are highly desirable.Excellent communication skills and a passion for sharing knowledge about craft spirits.A friendly, outgoing personality with a knack for creating memorable customer experiences.Ability to adapt to and influence the latest trends in the craft spirits industry.Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.SALARY74,000 - $80,000 per year + Super
